1. Booking and Payments
Reservation: A booking is only considered “confirmed” once a signed contract is received and the non-refundable deposit is paid.
Payment Schedule: The remaining balance for any event must be paid in full no later than seven (7) days prior to the event date unless otherwise specified in your specific service agreement.
Overtime: Any requests for performance beyond the contracted end time are subject to the DJ’s availability and will be billed at an hourly rate of $150/hour, payable at the time of the request.
2. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a successful event, the client agrees to provide:
Technical Needs: A minimum of one dedicated 15-20 amp circuit outlet and a stable 6′ table (if not using our premium booth setups).
Outdoor Events: For outdoor performances, the client must provide a professional-grade shelter (tent or canopy) to protect equipment from direct sunlight or rain.
Access: Permission for the DJ to access the venue at least two hours prior to the start time for setup and one hour after the event for breakdown.
3. Music and Performance
Curation: DJ Persist utilizes an online planning system. All “Must Play” lists and timelines must be submitted at least seven (7) days before the event.
Requests: We are open to guest requests; however, DJ Persist reserves the right to deny songs that do not fit the event’s “vibe” or explicit content preferences set by the client.
Safety: The DJ reserves the right to cease performance immediately if the environment becomes unsafe due to guest behavior, structural issues at the venue, or severe weather (e.g., lightning during outdoor sets).
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Deposits: All initial deposits are non-refundable as they secure a date that is subsequently made unavailable to other clients.
Notice: Cancellations made less than 90 days before the event may result in the client being liable for the full remaining balance.
Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to “Acts of God” (pandemics, natural disasters, or government mandates). In such cases, deposits may be applied to a future rescheduled date.
5. Privacy and Media
Data Collection: We collect names, emails, and phone numbers solely for the purpose of event coordination and will never sell your data to third parties.
Promotion: DJ Persist reserves the right to take photographs or video of the event for promotional use on social media or our website, unless the client explicitly requests a “Privacy Clause” in writing prior to the event.
